Description
Camellia is the perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication in a shift dress! Designed for woven fabrics, this dress falls just above the knee in a flattering A-line shape. The loose-fitting sleeves can be finished with elastic cuffs for a touch of structure, left as they are for a breezier feel, or made as short sleeves.
The highlight of Camellia is the asymmetric pleat cluster on the front right shoulder, adding a fun twist and pizazz to an otherwise simple silhouette. The dress also features a round, slightly wide neckline finished with a neck facing, and it fastens at the back with a rouleau loop and a single button—no zippers or buttonholes required.
This chic yet playful style can also be made as a stylish, dressy blouse by cropping the pattern. With only six pattern pieces, Camellia embodies the spirit of the EasyMake line of sewing patterns—easy make, easy sew, and easy chic!
The Model is 5’2 (157 cm) with a Bust-Waist-Hip of 36-31-39.5 inches (91-79-100 cm) at the time of shooting the pictures and is wearing a size 10 with no length adjustment in the green and a 3″ sleeve length reduction and 2″ dress length reduction in the champagne. Camellia, like other SewExplicit patterns, is designed for a height range of 5’5 to 5’8 (165 to 173 cm). Taller or shorter figures may require height adjustments.
